Soundarya is the Co-founder and Managing Trustee of Shishushakthi, with over 20 years of experience in grassroots social work. Her journey began at 18, volunteering at a juvenile home in Chennai, where she worked closely with young girls on activities beyond academics.
Driven by a deep desire to create lasting impact, she founded Shishu Shakthi to focus on reducing school dropouts and building safe, supportive education spaces within communities. Her vision is to ensure that no child ends up in an unlawful path due to a lack of guidance or opportunity.
Through Shishu Shakthi’s education centres and educational sponsorship,Soundarya continues to work hand-in-hand with children, social workers, and government bodies, striving to empower every child to stay on the path of learning and build a better future.
